outsourcing-in-africa2.jpg        OUTSOURCING in CAMEROON

Cameroon too can take advantage of Outsourcing if most of the regulatory barriers are removed and entrepreneurs are encouraged in their efforts to launch outsourcing start ups in the country.

So far, the State still has hold on the only land line telephone company, and has been hostile to VOIP opportunities. But nonetheless, there are still some young Cameroonians willing to bet that an outsourcing business is viable. Xtended Technology is a company operating out of Douala with more than 100 employees today, and a goal to hire 1,000 employees by 2010. They primarily offer Call Center services for clients from the U.S. These guys are really doing a lot with less compared to East and West Africa business environment and telecommunication infrastructures.
